The Martian
The Martian is a film about an astronaut, Mark Watney, who is left behind on Mars after a severe dust storm almost killed his entire crew on the planetary Ares 3 mission. Watney gets stabbed by flying debris, and he is unable to return for the launch back to earth, and the crew assumes that he is dead. Without the knowledge of the mourning crew, Watney survives, and he has to embrace various survival techniques using applications of science and math. With time, Watney finds a way of communicating with NASA experts and the world.
